Volta Trucks secures EUR230m in third round of investments

Sweden – Volta Trucks AB of Stockholm, Sweden has announced that it has raised EUR230m in its Series C funding round to support the production of its upcoming zero-emission, medium-duty truck, the Volta Zero.
The company has announced plans to produce 5,000 units of the 16-tonne Volta Zero in 2023 at the Steyr plant in Austria, increasing production to 14,000 in 2024 and 27,000 in 2025. It will be launched in London and Paris at the end of 2022 before a European-wide release in the following year. Volta Trucks’ announcement was made shortly before beginning the Spanish leg of its European roadshow, when it presented the Volta Zero at Circuito del Jama in Madrid from 5-6 April.
