Volvo expands and modernizes proving ground in Brazil

New proving ground at Volvo do Brasil

BrazilVolvo do Brasil Veículos Ltda of Curitiba, Paraná belonging to the Volvo Group, one of the largest manufacturers of construction vehicles, trucks and buses, marine and industrial engine equipment, has just expanded and modernized its truck and bus proving ground in Latin America. Located on the same site as the Curitiba (PR) plant, it is the most modern Volvo facility of its kind outside Europe.

The total area is about 87,000 m² and the proving ground has seven different test tracks for durability, stability, brakes, comfort and noise certification. The tests carried out in this new proving ground are designed to reproduce the real conditions found on roads in Brazil and throughout Latin America. The last construction phase, related to vehicle dynamics tracks and test ramps, was completed earlier this month.
