SwedenVolta Trucks of Stockholm, Sweden has unveiled the 7.5- and 12-tonne variants of the ‘Volta Zero’ line of medium-duty battery-electric trucks which will follow the 16-tonne version currently undergoing development and testing in readiness for series production by the end of the year.

The lighter trucks were designed in partnership with Astheimer Design of Warwick, UK to bear a close external resemblance to the 16-tonne truck and to each other. The 12-tonne has a longer chassis and body than the 7.5-tonne, with a second set of rear wheels to accommodate increased vehicle payload.
