Hungary – BYD Europe, the subsidiary of BYD Auto Co, based in Shenzhen, China, has received an order for 48 units of its 12-metre low-entry e-bus from Hungary’s largest public transport operator, Volánbusz Zrt. Adding to the 70 electric BYD buses already operating in Hungary, the purchase agreement represents BYD’s largest-ever order in the country.

The electric buses will operate in five Hungarian cities Győr, Zalaegerszeg, Szolnok, Szeged and Eger, with the vehicles scheduled for delivery later in 2022. All 48 of the buses will be built at BYD’s European manufacturing facility in Komárom.
