Malaysia / China - BYD Malaysia Sdn Bhd (BYD) (a subsidiary of China’s Shenzhen-based BYD Co Ltd) has appointed Alliance EV Sdn Bhd (AEV), as its partner in Malaysia for its T3 battery-powered LCV. AEV is a newly formed subsidiary of Malaysian investment firm, CSH Alliance Berhad of Kuala Lumpar.

The BYD T3 is a fully-electric compact delivery van with a payload of 780kg and powered by nickel-manganese-cobalt (NCM) batteries with a power output of 50.3kWh and a range of 300km. The T3 will initially be imported from China, but the two parties have agreed to explore opportunities to assembly the vans in Malaysia.
