Otokar adds articulated e-KENT to electric bus portfolio

Turkey – As part of its major initiative to offer the bus market a complete range of zero emission products, Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi A.Ş (Otokar) at Busworld Turkey announced two new electric models; the e-Centro minibus (see separate article at www.truckandbusbuilder.com) and the new articulated version of the e-Kent at 18.75m in length.
Making its official debut at Busworld Turkey 2022, the new 18.75m all-electric articulated e-KENT bus has been developed with two key German partners, Voith (410 kW electric powertrain) and Webasto (Li-ion NMC) batteries, with integration and testing being carried out by Otokar at its manufacturing facilities in Sakarya, Turkey.
