ZF's PowerLine 8-speed transmission

Brazil - ZF do Brasil Ltda, headquartered in Sorocaba, state of São Paulo, Brazil, has announced that by the end of this year, the ZF PowerLine transmission will be homologated in preparation for series production in the country. The ZF PowerLine is an eight-speed automatic transmission derived from the global automobile market, which was later developed to serve the light to medium truck and city bus markets.

Currently, the ZF PowerLine is imported and has been offered on the Brazilian market since 2018. The component brings the concept of torque and planetary converters, mixed with mechatronics and electronics together with control software to the continent.
