FAW South Africa assembly operations produces 9,000th truck

FAW South Africa reach assembly milestone of 9,000 units

South Africa / China - FAW Group Import & Export Co Ltd (FAWIEC) announced on May 6, 2022 its plant in South Africa at the FAW Vehicle Manufacturers SA (PTY) Ltd production plant in Coega, Eastern Cape, had built its 9,000th truck – a Jiefang JH6 automatic transmission tractor. The plant was built in 2014 and opened on July 10^th of that year.

In 2021, the FAW South Africa plant saw its sales volume total 1,700 units, and in 2022, FAW South Africa says its monthly output exceeded 200 units for four consecutive months.
