Volvo picks up order for 440 heavy-duty trucks from agricultural giant, AMAGGI

Brazil - One of the world's largest grain producers, AMAGGI Exportação e Importação Ltda., based in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso, has acquired 440 Volvo trucks that will be used to transport agricultural products for export. The order comprises 400, Volvo FH 540hp 6x4 vehicles, which will be used to transport grain directly from the farms in the Brazilian Midwest to the transshipment terminals in the North of the country, and 40 Volvo VM trucks, for supporting operations.

AMAGGI, which will be transporting its own annual production of around 1.1 million tons of grains and fibres, is trebling the size of its truck fleet, which will reach 600 units.
