PMI Electro Mobility to supply 144 electric buses in Nagpur

India - PMI Electro Mobility Solutions Pvt Ltd of Haryana, a manufacturer of electric vehicles having technical tie up with Beiqi Foton Motors Co Ltd of Beijing, China has successfully tendered a bid for the right to supply 144, electric buses to Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), based on a quoted bid of USD0.69/km.
PMI Electro is to supply a 12-metre bus with a floor height of 400mm with seating capacity for 35 and the driver. It has a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) - an AC synchronous motor - with a power output of 145kW supplied by an advanced lithium-ion battery pack with output capacity of 152kWh and a range of 144km on a single charge. The battery chemistry allows fast-charging of between 150–375kW giving a charging time of thirty (30) minutes to one hour.
