Volvo Buses India launches new 9600 platform in 13.5m two axle and 15m three-axle versions

New Generation Volvo 9600 6x2 seater and sleeper models

India – Volvo Buses India Pvt Ltd of Bangalore, a wholly-owned subsidiary of VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV) of Pithampur has launched its next generation of the Volvo 9600 platform¹, which will be factory-built as a sleeper and as a seater coach in 13.5 metre and 4x2 wheelbase and 15 metre and 6x2 wheel configuration.

It is to be built at its facilities in Hoskote, in accordance with India’s body building Automotive Indian Standard (AIS) 119 code but also to Volvo Buses own safety standards.
