Equipmake-Agrale-Toda electric bus to undergo trials in Argentina

Argentina / UK – Three years’ on from when the UK-government funded project called CELEB1 (Cost Effective Low Entry Bus) was first announced, the first electric bus (MT17.0LE Electric Single Deck Bus) from Equipmake Ltd of Snetterton and its international partners, has been shipped (July 12, 2022) to Argentina to undergo in-service trials in Buenos Aires, starting the third quarter of this year.

The 12-metre electric MT17.0LE Electric Single Deck Bus has been developed by a consortium of companies, led by electric driveline specialist, Equipmake, as part of the CELEB project, which was established in 2018/19. The objective of the programme had been to deliver a cost-effective electric bus designed for the South American market.
