PMI holds inauguration of its first e-bus charging depot in Rajkot

PMI e-buses delivered to Rajkot Munipal Corporation as part of first e-chargiung bus depot inauguration

India - August 23 saw PMI Electro Mobility Pvt Ltd (PMI*) of Haryana inaugurate its first electric bus depot in India as part of the turnkey contract to supply some 100 electric buses to Rajkot. Together with partners, the electric bus depot in Rajkot was developed by PMI over 11 months. The infrastructure extends to an area of some 17,000 square metres and is equipped with 14 DC Fast Chargers that can charge an electric bus battery from 20 per cent to 100 per cent in 55 minutes. The electric bus depot can support 80 electric buses at a time. It is also equipped with maintenance service bays. It also delivered 23 new electric buses to the Rajkot Municipal Corporation, taking the total number of PMI e-buses to 48. These e-buses will run on the BRTS corridor in Rajkot.
