Wrightbus receives biggest EV bus order outside of London

Single and double-deck buses ordered by FirstGroup from Wrightbus
UK – Wrightbus of Ballymena, UK has received an order for 193 battery-electric buses from transport operator FirstGroup plc, which the Northern Irish manufacturer claims is the largest electric bus purchase made in the country outside of London.
The GBP81m order placed by First Bus (part of FirstGroup) includes a GBP38m grant from the Department for Transport as part of the ‘Zero Emission Bus Regional Area’ (ZEBRA) scheme. Roll out across the following cities will begin in March 2023:
