UKTevva Motors Ltd, an electric truck manufacturer based in Tilbury, UK, has announced it successfully applied to the ‘NextETRUCK’ project, which is co-funded by the European Commission’s ‘Horizon Europe’1 research and innovation programme.

Details of the project are sparse, but Tevva states that it aims to deploy medium-duty electric trucks in pilots in three European cities in Spain and the Netherlands. Tevva’s role will be to improve e-powertrain efficiency by developing battery optimisation and intelligent thermal management. It says it will employ digital engineering tools, including ‘digital twin’ or simulations, during research and development.
