UK - Horiba MIRA Ltd has developed what it claims is Europe’s most complete Connected and Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) testing centre over an 850-hectare site at its research and testing facility in Nuneaton. The new CAV testing facility provides support to companies in the design, development and testing of self-driving technology. This is conducted under a range of weather testing conditions and in a range of controlled, semi-controlled and public operating environments, by using a mix of physical, communication and simulation testbeds. The ‘Assured CAV’ will reduce time and complexity in the development process by assisting clients to overcome the critical challenges of implementing connected self-driving technologies by ensuring products are functionally correct.
The testing centre includes four key elements, the Assured CAV Highway, City, Parking and Routes.
