Iveco launches gas-powered bus chassis in Argentina

Iveco Bus adds CNG bus chassis to gas-powered CV range in Argentina

Argentina – Following the announcement at Lat.Bus 2022 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in August this year, Iveco Argentina S.A., based in Córdoba, has now officially launched its new gas 17-210 G bus chassis in Argentina. Powered by CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) or biomethane, the model is part of Iveco's Natural Power vehicle range, which includes the Tector and Stralis trucks and LCVs from the Daily line. Derived from the Tector model, the bus chassis will be manufactured later this year at the Cordoba plant and sold from April 2023.

This will be the first model of a bus chassis powered by CNG produced in Argentina, Iveco states. The front-engine chassis is fitted with an FPT N60 gas engine offering an output of 204hp and 750Nm of torque. It has a set of six gas cylinders (80 litres in each) mounted on the chassis sides, which can provide a range of up to 250 kilometres. As with the traditional diesel version, the Iveco Bus 17-210 G is also fitted with front and rear suspensions with semi-elliptic springs and air brakes on both axles.
