Thailand – Distribution and assembly company, UD Trucks Corporation (Thailand) Co Ltd of Samut Prakan, near Bangkok, Thailand – a subsidiary of UD Trucks Corporation of Ageo, Saitama prefecture, Japan (a subsidiary of Isuzu Motors Ltd) - has installed 1,850 solar panels on the roof of its Thai factory in Samut Prakan in collaboration with Berkeley Energy Commercial Industry Solutions (BECIS).

The Japanese truck-maker said the panels were expected to provide its Thai subsidiary with 1,477 MWh of renewable electricity per year, or up to 25% of the electricity used at the plant and reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by an estimated 16% - roughly 700 tons per year.
