Brazil – Higer do Brasil TEVX Motors Group Ltda* of Pecém, Ceará State (the newly formed manufacturing joint venture between China’s Higer Bus Co Ltd of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, and local company TEVX Motors Group Ltd of São Paulo, SP) has concluded real time operational tests of its 100% electric bus in the city of Curitiba, Paraná.
During the trial period lasting a few weeks, the 12.2m Azure A12BR electric bus, which has capacity for transporting up to 78 people, was run on five different traditional city bus routes. Fitted with 12 battery packs, this gave a single charge range of some 323 kilometres, whilst operating in temperatures between 10º C and 20º C, with electrically powered and controlled air conditioning.
