Blue Energy Motors opens India's first LNG truck plant

India / Singapore – Blue Energy Commercial Vehicles Pvt Ltd (Blue Energy Motors) of Chakan, Pune, a two-year-old start-up backed by an undisclosed Singapore-based firm (which absorbed some of the assets of the former Asia Motor Works (AMW)), has launched its first Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) fuelled-truck for the Indian market from its facilities in Chakan, Pune. 

The market entry vehicle is the 5528 4×2 55t gvw tractor unit. The company says it has an installed capacity to produce 10,000 trucks per annum, which can be augmented further as the products mature and demand ramps up.
