Van Hool introduces new touring coach range

The Van Hool T range

BelgiumVan Hool NV of Koningshooikt, Antwerp has presented a new coach range which will replace the current ‘T9’ and ‘TX’ series of touring coaches for the European market. The new models feature improvements in four areas: aerodynamics, design, comfort, and safety.

Simply called ‘Van Hool T’, the new range retains the naming conventions of the T-series coaches going back to 1979. The ‘Alicron’ is a single deck, standard height coach between 12 and 13 metres; the ‘Acron’ is a high floor variant between 10 and 14 metres; and the ‘Astron’ is a double deck coach between 13 and 14 metres. These are the initial specifications which Van Hool says will be available in model year 2023.
