Samvardhana Motherson to acquire frame making operations of DICV

India - Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd1 (SMI) of Noida, an automotive parts conglomerate, has signed a strategic agreement to acquire assets for chassis frame manufacturing using treated steel and assembly operations from Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) of Chennai.

Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd (MSSL), a subsidiary of SMI, which was previously contracted to operate DICVs facilities in Chennai, as part of the above transaction has signed a long-term agreement with DICV to supply it with complete frame assemblies.
