Cummins opens new R&D centre in China

China / USA– Drivetrain systems manufacturer, Cummins Inc of Columbus, Indiana, has opened a new USD150 million 78,000 square-metre R&D centre in Wuhan, China, in the Economic and Technological Development Zone. The site houses 900 staff and 28 test cells responsible for performance, reliability, NVH and cold start testing – the facility includes a fuel cell lab, powertrain lab, transmission lab and H2 ICE test cell.
