Brazil CV exports rise strongly in 2022

Brazil - ANFAVEA reports that one of the best performances achieved by the Brazilian automobile industry was in exports of truck and bus chassis. Truck exports grew 12.1% to 25,455 units against 22,699 units in 2021 and bus chassis exports increased by 23.1% (almost by 1,000 units) to 5,213 from 4,234. Intercity bus exports rose by 47.5% while urban buses rose 9.7%.

Sales of heavy-duty trucks increased by 25.9% to 14,221 units compared with 11,298 units in the previous year. While exports of semi-heavyweight trucks increased by just 2.9% sales reached 6,434 (6,252). Exports of light- and medium-duty vehicles both decreased by 9.9% and 22.8%, respectively.
