Castertech introduces new lightweight products made using nano-technologies

Brazil - Brake casting manufacturer, Castertech Fundição e Tecnologia Ltda (a division of Empresas Randon) of Caxias do Sul (RS), having invested in materials nano-technology, it has introduced the N-Series Materials lightweight range of products.
The new lightweight range of products, first displayed at Fenatran, have been developed under a project partnership with the Instituto Hercílio Randon (IHR) and NIONE Ltda (a unit of Empresas Randon and Fras-le that operates in the development, production and application of nano-technology). Use of the nano-technology has allowed an average reduction of 22% to the weight of components.
