Sales of heavy commercial vehicles in Uruguay fall by 6.74% in 2022

Uruguay – According to data from the ACAU (Association of Automotive Dealers of Uruguay) of Montevideo, Uruguay sales of heavy commercial vehicles (trucks, buses and minibuses), ended 2022 with registrations of 2,893 units, 6.74% fewer than the 3,102 units sold in the previous year.

The truck segment totalled 2,776 units, 4.37% below the 2,903 vehicles registered in 2021, according to ACAU. It was led by Volkswagen, with a total of 625 vehicles, which corresponded to a market share of 22.51%, ahead of the Chinese JAC, which registered 540 units and 19.45% of market share.
