VWCO starts field testing 17.3-ton e-Delivery model

Brazil – December saw Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus Ltda (VWCO) of Resende, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil begin testing its largest electric truck model to date, the e-Delivery 17.

On trial in São Paulo, the e-Delivery 17 offers a gross weight of 17.3 tons, around 2.8 tons more than the e-Delivery 14 model (14.5 tons) from which it is derived. It features a front axle with greater load capacity, reinforced chassis and suspension, configuration 6x2, lower loading platform for easier loading and unloading, full air suspension for greater comfort and dual wheels on both rear axles.
