Mitsubishi starts Canter truck assembly in Saudi Arabia

Canter truck assembly at Merecedes-Benz JV facility in Jeddah

Saudi Arabia / Japan - Mitsubishi Truck & Bus Corporation, based in Kawasaki in Japan’s Kanagawa Prefecture, announced that it has begun local assembly of its Canter light truck in Saudi Arabia.

National Automobile Industry Co Ltd (NAI), a joint venture between general distributor, Juffali Commercial Vehicles and Daimler Truck AG, began assembly of the Fuso 6.5-tonne FE84 and 7.2-tonne FE85 truck ranges powered by the 4D33 engine at an existing Mercedes-Benz truck manufacturing facility in the city of Jeddah.
