Iveco Defence Vehicles acquires majority share in Horiba Mira’s Uncrewed Ground Vehicle division

UK / Italy – Earlier this month, Iveco Defence Vehicles S.p.A. (IDV) (a subsidiary of Iveco Group), based in Bolzano, Italy, announced that it has become the majority stakeholder in Horiba Mira’s Uncrewed Ground Vehicle (UGV) division, based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

This partnership combines IDV’s defence vehicle manufacturing prowess with Horiba Mira’s automotive engineering, research and testing capabilities, of which, it has gained twenty years of autonomous driving data. IDV hope to build on Horiba Mira’s expertise in remote control, teleoperated and autonomous vehicle technology.
