InoBat signs MOU with Chinese energy storage specialist Gotion

Slovakia / China – Bratislava, Slovakia-based battery manufacturer, InoBat Auto has signed an MOU to develop battery cells and packs with energy storage systems specialist, Gotion High-tech Co Ltd based in Hefei, China. The joint venture (JV) outlines several key goals with the primary being the co-development of a 40 GWh capacity gigafactory in the CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) region. The JV brings together chemistry, R&D and energy storage systems development as well as recycling capabilities for end-of-life batteries. InoBat will benefit from Gotion’s expertise in electric storage solutions whilst Gotion will utilise InoBat’s battery manufacturing capabilities and European connections.
