VWCO strengthens presence in South Africa with new Volksbus chassis range

South Africa / Brazil – To expand its international presence further, Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus Ltda (VWCO) of Resende, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in January launched two models of the Volksbus chassis in South Africa: the VW 17.230 and VW 17.260 V-Tronic. The event was promoted in the capital of Johannesburg by MAN Automotive (South Africa) Pty Ltd also headquartered there, responsible for the MAN Truck & Bus and VW Truck & Bus brands in South Africa.
Leonardo Soloaga, director of International Sales at VWCO said: “Our exports accelerated in 2022, and Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus models are increasingly standing out on the African continent. We are sure that the new Volksbuses will be a success in South Africa. We reached more than 30 countries, and this year we are going to intensify our internationalization, seeking even more opportunities.”
