JCB tests hydrogen engine in Mercedes truck

UKJCB Power Systems Ltd, a subsidiary of J C Bamford Excavators Ltd (JCB) based in Foston, UK, has announced that it installed its new hydrogen combustion engine into a 7.5-tonne Mercedes-Benz truck by Daimler Truck

Recently, T&BB reported on JCB’s launch of a hydrogen engine for construction and agricultural machinery. JCB has stated that retrofitting the same engine into the Mercedes truck took just a few days. The truck has been test-driven by a number of drivers, including Anthony Bamford, Chairman of JCB.
