Blue Energy begins production of its LNG trucks for the Indian market

India / Singapore – Blue Energy Commercial Vehicles Pvt Ltd* (Blue Energy Motors) of Pune, a two-year-old start-up backed by a Singapore-based finance firm, has begun commercial operations of its first LNG-fuelled BE55281 trucks at its factory in Pune, and has delivered its first order to JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd of New Delhi, one of India’s leading cement companies.

The first fleet of LNG trucks was flagged off from JK Lakshmi Cement’s Sirohi plant in Rajasthan, headed for for the clinker grinding unit at Surat, Gujarat. JK Lakshmi Cement is the first cement company in India to deploy LNG trucks for long-haul transportation of raw materials. JK Lakshmi Cement has installed an LNG refuelling station in Sirohi.
