Volvo Group inaugurates new Vehicle Tech Lab in Bengaluru
India – The Volvo Bus Division of Bengaluru, a wholly-owned subsidiary of VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV) of Pithampur has inaugurated its new Vehicle Technology Laboratory (Vehicle Tech Lab) at its Bengaluru campus in India. (Since incorporating Volvo Buses India as a subsidiary of VECV, the company has been endeavouring to optimise use of the facilities and infrastructure available at the bus division for both buses and trucks).
The all-new Vehicle Tech Lab can house complete trucks, bus and coach chassis and components, the company said in a statement. The facility has a range of advance equipment, including driving simulators, test benches, 3D scanners, for engineers to test, innovate, validate and undertake experiments of vehicles and components.
