Yutong delivers Saudia Arabia’s first electric bus for public service

China / Saudi Arabia – Zhengzhou Yutong Group Co Ltd (“Yutong”) of Zhengzhou, Henan, China has reportedly delivered the very first electric bus to Saudi Arabia – an ‘E11 Pro’ with adaptations to handle the rigours of the hot desert climate.
The 11.2-metre bus has a 350-kWh battery system which provides a range of 300 kilometres. The battery is kept at an optimal temperature by an “independent” cooling system and is housed in a “special anti-collision beam structure” to protect it from the environment. In addition, a mud guard prevents sand from clogging up the electric motor.
