TEVX Higer wins first tender for 15 locally built e-buses from the city of Cascavel, Brazil

Azure Higer 18m articulated electric bus - TEVX Higer has been asked to have doors on both sides.

Brazil / China - The Municipality of Cascavel, after a formal tendering process specifying electric buses only, has signed a contract with Higer do Brasil TEVX Motors Group Ltda (Higer TEVX*) of Pecém, Ceará State, Brazil to supply of 15 electric buses, while at the same time claiming to be the first in Brazil to place an electric bus tender in the market and buy a fleet of vehicles with zero emissions. The contract provides for the delivery of 13 single and two articulated AZURE electric bus models.

According to Marcelo Barella, Higer's director for Latin America, the buses are to be made in China by Higer Bus in Suzhou. Higer has already produced more than 50,000 electric buses, and the Azure model is the company’s main urban bus model in operation on the market, with more than 7,000 units in use in 138 countries!
