Volvo Trucks signs contract for 1,000 electric trucks with Holcim

Sweden / SwitzerlandVolvo Trucks Corporation of Gothenburg, Sweden has announced its largest order for electric trucks to date: a contract for 1,000 vehicles from Swiss-French multinational Holcim Limited, to be delivered in instalments up until 2030. 

Headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, Holcim is a manufacturer of cement, aggregates, concrete, and other building materials. It has entered into a long-term partnership with Volvo Trucks to decarbonise its fleet: its 2030 goal is for 30% of its heavy-duty truck acquisitions to be zero emission.
