DAF to deliver 50 electric trucks to Einride

DAF XD Electric

Netherlands / Sweden – Dutch truck manufacturer, DAF Trucks NV has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Swedish software development company and autonomous vehicle fleet operator, Einride AB*, to supply the Stockholm-based company with 50 electric trucks by the end of the year. Einride will then equip the vehicles with its autonomous driving software and lease the vehicles out to clients. Einride has ordered the XD Electric “in a wide range of specifications”, which the company says it will use for various customers.

These DAF vehicles will be equipped with three to five battery packs with a maximum range of 500 km. In terms of aftermarket, all the vehicles come with a DAF Repair & Maintenance package covered by DAF’s extensive dealer and service network across Europe.
