Sona Comstar opens driveline component plant in Chakan.

Gurugram / Mumbai / USA – Electric motor, components and systems supplier, Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd¹ (Sona Comstar) of Gurugram, inaugurated its second- manufacturing plant on a 10-acre site in Chakan, Pune with an investment of USD28.1m, where it shall produce driveline components for both conventional ICE vehicles and electric vehicles.

The new facility can produce up to 1.18 million gear sets a year currently, which could be increased to over 20 million differential gear sets by FY 2025-26.
