Volvo receives largest order to date for BZL Electric buses

Volvo BZL Electric with single and double deck bodies by MCV
Sweden / UK – In May, Volvo Bus Corporation of Gothenburg, Sweden announced its largest order for electric buses to date: a contract for 170 single and double deck buses with Stagecoach Group Ltd in the UK.
Volvo will supply 150 double deck and 20 single deck buses based on its ‘BZL Electric’ chassis to Stagecoach, who will put them on the roads of Manchester from Summer 2024. These will be fitted to Transport for Manchester’s specifications with bodies from MCV of Cairo, Egypt.
