Germany / AlbaniaZöller-Kipper GmbH, a manufacturer of refuse collection vehicles and electric and hydraulic lifters based in Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, has acquired a majority stake in a steel construction firm called AMEC shpk in Durrës, Albania.

The German manufacturer has acquired modern factory equipment and a young team of technicians which will be integrated into its European production network. Manufacturing steel components in Albania will relieve pressure on Zöller-Kipper’s other plants. Moreover, its location on the Adriatic Sea is ideally suited to supporting the production of ‘Farid’-branded refuse collection bodies in Vinovo, Italy, according to Zöller-Kipper.
