XCMG launches its first 100% electric tractor truck in Brazil

Brazil / China - XCMG do Brasil Indústria Ltda* of Pouso Alegre, Minas Gerais, a subsidiary of Chinese manufacturer, Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Co Ltd (XCMG) of Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, has launched its first battery-electric tractor unit in Brazil. It is the E7-49T model, of which, it plans to sell some 200 units this year!

The new tractor unit is equipped with a 282kWh (about 482hp and torque of 204kgfm) central motor powered with lithium iron phosphate batteries and matched with a four-speed automated transmission, offering a combined gross vehicle weight (CGVW) of 49 tons. Safety and comfort equipment fitted as standard includes frontal collision warning system, lane departure warning, ESC and electronic stability control capable of controlling and distributing the pressure on the vehicle's six wheels.
