VW supplies second airport in Brazil with e-Delivery re-fuelling truck

Brazil - Raízen S.A. of Rio de Janeiro (an integrated energy company and licensee of the Shell brand) has taken delivery of a VW e-Delivery truck to refuel aircraft at São Paulo International Airport in Guarulhos (SP); the delivery, stated the Resende-based manufacturer Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus Ltda, is the second Brazilian airport to take an e-Delivery truck to supply fuel to aircraft. The first was in Manaus, in December 2022 at Eduardo Gomes International Airport in partnership with Pioneiro Combustíveis, BR Aviation (a business unit of Vibra Energia and a licensed brand of Petrobras) and VWCO.

In Guarulhos, the Raízen truck is to be recharged at a Shell Recharge fast charging station, with a capacity of 60 kW, installed inside the airport's operations area, which will allow the vehicle to be fully recharged in about one hour, using clean 100% renewable energy produced by Raízen itself.
