VWCO offers safety features as standard with Volksbus range

Brazil - HSA, ESC, ATC and ABS active safety technologies are now standard on the new Volksbus chassis range, Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus Ltda (VWCO) of Resende, Rio de Janeiro has announced.
Hill Start Assist (HSA), for example, prevents the vehicle from rolling backwards on slopes (irrespective of whether the driver’s brake pedal is depressed), which releases the brake gradually during acceleration. Already available with models equipped with automated or automatic gearboxes, Hill Start Assist is now also available with manual transmissions. This technology facilitates starting uphill or even when reversing downhill, as it prevents rolling in the opposite direction of travel.
