Putzmeister to introduce RHD SANY electric truck with cement mixer body for UK market next month

UK / Germany - At the Road Transport Expo (RTX) in Stoneleigh, UK, earlier this month, Putzmeister of Aichtal, Germany – a subsidiary of SANY Group of Changsha, Hunan Province, China – announced that in mid-August it would introduce a right hand drive (RHD) version of the SANY 8x4 etruck with Putzmeister iONTRON eMixer body, according to Shaun O’Connor, Regional Sales Manager at Putzmeister Ltd of Chesterfield, UK.
At the show, O’Conner explained that both the SANY eTruck and the iONTRON eMixer is being modified for the UK market. He said that while a version of the SANY eTruck has been developed in RHD for the Hong Kong market a different version based on the European LHD version has been developed to comply with UK regulations, and that the main mixer modifications for the UK include mounting the distribution chute on the left rear side and designing the drum to have dual rotation.
