Brazil’s ABC Metallurgists Union in the Grande ABC region has signed a letter of intent to manufacture electric vehicles in the region

Brazil - The ABC Metallurgists Union (which represents workers from the Grande ABC region in São Paulo – including the cities of Santoa André, São Bernardo and São Caetano do Sul) of Brasília, Federal District - has signed (July 6, 2023) a letter of intent with representatives of two Chinese companies, Chery and Beijing Peak Automotive, which plan to manufacture buses and electric cars in the Greater ABC area.
In addition to these two companies, union directors also held a meeting with representatives of a delegation from Sinomach (China National Machinery Industry Corporation).
