M&M opens EV battery testing laboratory in Tamil Nadu

India - Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd of Mumbai has inaugurated the company's new EV battery testing facility at Mahindra Research Valley1, Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu.
The Battery Test Lab in Mahindra Research Valley has been set up with an investment of some USD 25.6 million and will employ more than 1,000 people. The new test laboratory will test the batteries’ suitability for safety-critical driving situations and vehicle safety. It will also be able to undertake EV battery tests at temperatures ranging from -40 to 80°C. Its design is for testing batteries for all vehicle segments including two wheeler, three wheelers, four wheelers and commercial vehicles.
