Yutong tri-axle battery electric coach to debut in UK early next year

UK / China – The bus & coach division of Pelican Engineering Co Ltd of Castleford, UK has announced it will be launching a tri-axle battery electric coach range for the UK market, built by Zhengzhou Yutong Group Co Ltd (“Yutong”) of Zhengzhou, Henan, China.
The ‘GTe14’ is based on the ‘T12’ two-axle coaches already available in Yutong’s product portfolio but tailored to UK specifications. Two CATL battery options – 422 kWh and 563 kWh – will offer ranges of 200 miles and 280 miles respectively. The tri-axle configuration will employ ZF products, complemented by an actively steered tag unit. At 13.9 metres in length, the coach will seat a maximum of 61 passengers.
