Fuso celebrates 50 years of manufacturing in Indonesia

Fuso plant in Indonesia

Indonesia / Japan – Earlier this month, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation* (“Fuso”) (a Daimler Truck subsidiary) of Kawasaki, Japan, celebrated 50 years of manufacturing in Indonesia, with two plants both in Jakarta contributing to this milestone. Indonesia is Fuso’s biggest overseas market and both these sites have contributed significantly to the growth of the Fuso brand outside of Japan.

The PT Krama Yudha Ratu Motor factory is responsible for the welding, painting, and assembly of Fuso’s light-duty Canter truck and medium-duty Fighter X for the Indonesian market, with knock-down (KD) kits exported out of MFTBC’s Kawasaki Plant. The second plant, the PT Mitsubishi Krama Yudha Motors and Manufacturing facility assembles powertrain components for the Canter, while also covering the stamping and welding of body parts such as the cab floor for both the Canter and the Fighter X.
