Renault Trucks UK debuts low entry cab with "bus door" for electric refuse collection trucks at RWM Expo

Renault low-entry truck cab with bus-style doors
UK – At the Resource & Waste Management Expo (RWM), held between 13-14 September at the NEC in Birmingham, UK, Renault Trucks UK of Warwick premiered a low-entry cab with electric driveline for use in waste collection.
The vehicle shown was a 26-tonne ‘E-Tech D Wide’ 6x2 chassis with inward folding doors and low step height. The automatic “bus-style” doors and the low entry allow for easier entry and exit to the cab for waste collectors. Moreover, the cab is equipped with full air suspension at the front and rear and a “kneel function” to further lower the cab height.
